Description

Up for auction here is a copy of the insanely rare Code Blue compilation cassette put out by Last Rites magazine (check my other auctions for a complete set of the zine!). This comp is a _killer_ document of midwestern hardcore in late 1983/early 1984, and I view it as a Chicago-centric sequel to the America's Dairyland cassette (which I'll be selling either this week or next). By far the best cuts here are Die Kreuzen (fantastic noisy rehearsal tracks), AoF (fantastic live stuff), and Husker Du (hands-down the best live stuff I've ever heard outta them--and I was a serious collector of pre-Zen Arcarde HuDu shows), but it's all good.
