Description
This is a Code of Honor - Fight Or Die / Sick Pleasure - Dolls Under Control split LP put out by Subterranean Records of San Francisco California in 1982,L9652. I am not a fan of the goldmine record grading scale many use.I use a 10 scale. On a 10 scale the vinyl is a 9.Nothing wrong with it.The label has a few minute white dots on it,but I'm including that in grade of jacket. The jacket is an 8.75. It has no wear on top or bottom edge.It has minimal wear on spine & opening. If you lay it flat it has a couple of very small waves to the jacket, you can't see them unless it's flat.It includes the small Code of Honor poster that came with the record. It as lived on my wall for a long time.I bought this from Subterranean in 82.It is not a stretch to say this is one of the best records from the 80s hardcore punk explosion. What is surprising is that both bands have the same line up except for the singers. So,even though it is the same people on guitar ,bass and drums, the bands sound quite different. Both bands are driven by the guitar talent of Michael Fox. Code of Honor has the singer from Society Dog,Jon Christ..They play pissed off political hardcore as good as the bands from Southern California (Black Flag,Adolescents,TSOL,Shattered Faith, etc) but not really influenced by them. They don't sound like an SF band (DKs,the Lewd, etc) either, though they are.I still wear a Code of Honor shirt.. Sick Pleasure plays KBD punk with such ferocity & conviction that it becomes hardcore punk. The guitar fire power sets them apart from say a band on the Killed By Death compilations. Both bands rule.Fully Mandatory. Code of Honor does:Code of Honor,Fight Or Die, Attempted Control, People's Revolution, Death To You, Stolen Faith,Be Fighting Still,New Era and And We Fight.. Sick Pleasure does: Three Seconds of Pleasure, Get The Muni Driver, Sick Pleasure, I Don't Play Pretty Music,Herpies Virus Two, Fools Can't Break Me, Dolls Under Control and Girls Like You. ..... . . I will combine shipping and ship as cheap as possible by weight.Payment via Paypal or Cashiers Check. If you buy more than one item from me I will ship everything together and base shipping charges on the weight of the total package. I will ship all over the world. Let's expand on that since ebay wants a disclaimer now on shipping out of the USA. You need to know the customs rules of your own country. You have to pay the fees, tariffs, etc if there are any when the item gets to your country. Customs forms have to be accurate as well. I will send stuff First Class at your risk, your decision. First Class is untracked and uninsured.Well,it is somewhat trackable as to where/when it leaves the USA,but things can get sketchy when trying to use tracking number in your home country. That means if the package is lost, due to there being no/minimal tracking,it is more or less impossible to find. Even more important is that there is no insurance on it,so if it is lost your refund money is lost. No refund on lost First Class packages. Think hard about shipping Priority. It is more expensive (way more in some cases),but tracked and insured. So,even if the package was lost you get your money back. You have to decide if the risk of First Class is worth the money you save on shipping. That is up to you. Media Mail in the US is $2.53US Priority is $5.80US. Canada First class is $10.55US Priority is $28.25US. UK/Europe/South America First Class is $16.75US Priority is $42.00US. Japan/Pacific Rim First Class is $16.75US Priority is $42.50US. Australia First Class is $16.75US Priority is $39.95US.Other countries of similar location will have similar shipping prices. Priority is best, tracked and insured. I repeat,First Class is at you own risk. It is untracked(minimally tracked),so if the package is lost your refund money is lost.Having said that First Class has been doing sorta OK of late. There are horror stories of lost records though. You don't want that to happen to you.Thanks.
