This is the very rare, highly collectible and LIMITED EDITION re-issue of the first four vinyl singles by Cold Chisel.

 

The four singles were originally released between 1978 and 1979.   With Chisel’s reunion in 1998, WEA re-issued them as a unique set, all in coloured vinyl.

 

I purchased this set from a collector who’d bought it new, and never played it.   Being an audiophile, I listened to the A- and B-sides of the Khe Sanh single, the A- and B-sides of the Goodbye (Astrid Goodbye) single, and the A-side of the Breakfast At Sweethearts single.   The remaining three sides are unplayed.

Of course, this set includes the highly coveted Khe Sanh and Shipping Steel singles.   Yes the originals are the holy grail, but these reissues are still extraordinary.


This is a remarkable collection and a rare find.   Being a limited edition, each disc is labelled 98 of 300.

 

The whole package is in NEAR-MINT CONDITION.
