Colourbox - Colourbox Self Titled Vinyl 4AD VG+ Condition UK 1985 Double LP
Selling this from my personal collection. This album was limited to having an extra mini LP to the first 10,000 copies. It’s really like a double LP with the extra record. This band was a trip. They mixed Synth Pop with sort of R&B Doo-Wop, Dub, and it could even sound like industrial at times. There’s so many samples on some of these tracks and with the instrumentation style and the cover art this is kind of like Proto-Vaporwave. If you love 4AD then you’ll be happy with this.
The vinyl itself is in Very Good Plus condition. I would’ve given it a higher grading but there’s one part, the opening seconds of Side B where it crackles/has some static because of a scratch. It doesn’t pop because it’s kind of like a scuff rather than a scratch. It really should not take away from enjoying the record and the rest of all the discs sounds like an Excellent Condition record. It’s 37 years old but in great shape. The sleeve is in Excellent condition as it’s been in a plastic slip for protection. The inner sleeves are also in Excellent condition.
