Description

Columbia #14188-D Race Series: The Dixie Washboard Band (Clarence Williams) plays "Gimme Blues" and "Dark Eyes". Record play grades V+, not too bad with surface scuffing and pin scratches and some deeper scratches at the end of "Gimme" side that sound. High energy side on "Dark Eyes"; blues in a minor key on "Gimme" side. As expected from the titles and artist both sides are hot with great solo work; nice washboard rhythm. Louis Metcalf on cornet.
