Description

Columbia 15197-D Darby & Tarlton - (A) Down in Florida on a Hog; (B) Birmingham Town. Recorded 4-5-1927 - Their first record which sold well enough to earn them a return session with Columbia in late 1927. Four sides (two records) came out of that session. One of those (Birmingham Jail / Columbus Stockade Blues) was their career best seller. I am auctioning a copy of that record as well. This record grades E. The record is completely free of scratches and looks like an E+ at first glance. However there is evidence of groove wear. Thus it was played quite a bit and it doesn’t play as nicely as an E+ would. It’s still a great copy.
