Description

Columbia 15212-D Darby & Tarlton - (A) Birmingham Jail; (B) Columbus Stockade Blues. Tom Darby and Jimmie Tarlton recorded these duet sides 11-10-1927. They accompanied their vocals with Tarlton on slide guitar and Darby on acoustic guitar. This record was from their 2nd recording session and sold 200,000 copies, their career best seller. This is a nice copy which grades V+ or better. It has a few light inaudible scratches on each side as well as rub marks. It plays nicely with moderate groove noise, no distortion to speak of; the music is dominant.
