Description

This is part of a big auction full of rockabilly record from Checker, Decca, Imperial and several very small label.  Great stuff that doesn't come up for sale often.  Many of these are promos or have original sleeves and almost all all are in great shape.

Release: Carl Perkins - Pink Pedal Pushers / Jive After Five


Format: 45 rpm 7" single


Year: 1958


Notes: Promo white label version of Perkins' first record for Columbia. Sound is pretty similar to his Sun stuff, but the reverb is cranked up for these tracks.  Great stuff to introduce him to a wider audience.

 

Vinyl Condition: VG+, vinyl is in great shape with hardly any wear at all. Looks very clean and sounds great with no skips/ticks/bumps, plays with hardly any background noise at all.  Label is super-clean with no marks/tears/stickers. There is some minor ring scuffing on the Pedal side. This is quite a nice copy overall.


Sleeve Condition: VG, has some light wrinkling and a pencil number written in the corner.  Not too bad at all.  Color is great and there are no tears.  Just one small 1/2" split right at the bottom.
