Description
Collectors, here is a rare one, Columbia Black Seal 7 inch announced one sided #326, circa fall 1902. Please note (pun intended) that the record has a circular B indicating record was pressed by the Burt Company. An unnamed tenor sings the song "He Laid Away a Suit of Gray to Wear the Union Blue", with piano. A sentimental song with fine singing, a nice listen. The record plays loud and quite well, there is some surface noise. A previous owner drilled out the spindle hole so the record would fit on a Chicago "premium" machine. Ancient record from the start of Columbia's involvement with disc records, incredibly rare, probably worth a lot more than my asking price, don't pass it up!
