Description

Available for auction is a truly lovely recording of Mahler's Fourth Symphony with the New York Philharmonic conducted by Leonard Bernstein in performance at the Lincoln Center Mahler Festival in 1960 (celebrating the 100th anniversary of Mahler's birth and the 50th anniversary of his first season as Music Director of the Philharmonic).

Released in 1960, this is an audiophile, early-pressing with first-edition, deep groove, "six eye" stereo label and matrix numbers:

Sleeve is NM with minor wear. Original inner sleeve (also includes additional page of libretto) is NM with minor wear.

Vinyl is EX (visual grade) VPI machine cleaned with L'Art du Son, it is shiny and without spindle marks. Side 2 has very minor handling marks only visible under bright light.
