Description
This is a unique item: a 1951 Columbia promo record in which seven other Columbia artists welcome Frankie Laine to the label. Laine is not heard on any of the tracks. These are just voice tracks (no music), apparently for advertising use. They come on a one-sided 12-inch 78 rpm microgroove record with separation grooves for each track. Record grades M-. The artists giving Frankie the big buildup are Jo Stafford, Doris Day, Sammy Kaye, Harry James, Percy Faith, Paul Weston and Mitch Miller. Sorry about the blurry scan, which is the fault of the scanner. The actual label is sharp and clean. Record does not come in original sleeve.
