Description

Richard Strauss: Don Quixote, op.35 - tone poem for cello, viola, violin and orchestra (Phantastische Variationen über ein Thema ritterlichen Charakters - Fantastic Variations on a Theme of Knightly Character) / Don Juan, op.20 - symphonic poem. Pierre Fournier plays cello, Abraham Skernick plays viola and Rafael Druian plays violin. Cleveland Orchestra conducted by George Szell. Superb performance !!!

Label: Columbia SAX 2495. Blue/silver. First edition (ED1). The vinyl of this early UK stereo LP is ex to nm (two vague harmless lines only, an incidental soft pop only). Comes in original EMI innersleeve. VERY VERY RARE !!!
