Here is the original UK Stereo LP/ Album Symphony No.2 in C Major, Op. 61 from 1962. Symphony No.2 was composed by Robert Schumann. All Music is played by The Cleveland Orchestra, with George Szell conducting. Housed in a front laminated flip back sleeve & released on Columbia Records, the Catalogue Number is SAX 2496. The track listing is First Movement: Sostenuto assai- Allegro ma non troppo, Second Movement: Scherzo (Allegro vivace)- Trio 1 and 2 Third Movement: Adagio espressivo & Fourth Movement: Allegro molto vivace. The package was made in Great Britain for UK release. PLEASE NOTE: In order to show as much detail as possible, some pictures have been merged together to create single images (e.g. views of record in inner sleeve & views of record out of inner sleeve).

The Matrix Numbers are described using a clock face. The first part is the main body of the Matrix Number. It will be at 6 o’clock if it is located in front of the label with the writing curving away from me at the ends (as I look) and at 12 o’clock if it is located behind the label with the writing curving towards me at the ends (as I look). Other times give a rough idea of where additional parts of the Matrix Number are located, in relation to the main part. It’s not meant to be foolproof, just to give an idea of where the various parts of the matrix are, in relation to each other.

The word “stereo” is written in large letters at the top right of the front sleeve. A large Boxed Columbia logo appears at the top left of the front sleeve in circular form on the bottom left of the back sleeve. An Epic logo appears on both the front & back sleeve. The record itself is housed within an original EMI Company inner sleeve. Along with features on the cover, the blue & silver label design indicates that this is an ED1 release. Each side has the circular Columbia logo at the top, "stereophonic" written on a black band across the centre, "MADE IN GT. BRITAIN" written on the bottom, above the rim & "Epic Recording" written to the right hand side- just under the Catalogue Number. Further information includes the Matrix numbers being printed just below the "stereophonic" band- on the left hand side.

Condition as follows including photographs: The sleeve is in excellent/ excellent minus condition, due to slight creasing, slight wear & slight discoloration. The inner sleeve is in excellent minus/ very good plus condition. The Vinyl is in excellent/ excellent minus condition. Both sides play through well, with no jumping, skipping or sticking. The overall sound is very very good. There is slight surface noise intermittently throughout, mostly in quieter passages. I thought the surface noise was at an acceptable level. Some people may consider this invasive, while others may find that it does not affect their listening pleasure. I always expect some sound from records of this age & condition. *NOTES ON CONDITION: I grade according to the Record Collector Rare Record Price Guide & will not necessarily list all individual points in the written description. There will be a blanket grade for each component (sleeve, record etc), which smaller factors fall into. The general appearance will be clearly visible in the photographs. Please study the photographs in detail as they form the bulk of the description. Please be aware that play grading is based on my interpretation of what I hear on my system only. Although it is an honest assessment, it does not automatically follow that you would reach the same conclusion when listening on your own system, as there are so many variables.
