Columbia UK Mono LP, 33CX 1825, blue label, first UK pressing, matrix suffixes 21B/21,
Front-laminated, flipback sleeve has been repaired with tape at bottom edge, has foxing spots on the front and back, a little ringwear, storage wear and a few edge creases, some laminate chipping and corner damage at top edge, along with a more substantial crease, with a little seam split at top opening edge, plus some slight flipback damage and a little writing on the back. As it has been somewhat neglected, the sleeve only grades Good.
The vinyl sits flat, with no warp; it has plenty of light marks on both sides, none of which are major or deep scratches, and mostly hairlines, but they are noticeable, and this does have some impact on audio, although this is still very strong, loud and enjoyable. There is consistent light surface noise and regular light clicks, with just a couple of sections of more significant ‘hiss’, but there are no skips or jumps, and this is still a very enjoyable listen to one of the finer, and possibly neglected, piano artists. Overall, the vinyl grades Good plus to Very Good.
