Miles Davis / Gil Evans: The Complete Columbia Studio Recordings / Mosaic MQ11-164, 1996, Limited Edition (5000)
An Ex/Ex 11 LP set with booklet. #1151 of 5000 sets produced. Ex box and booklet. The box is very clean, sharp, sound, etc., though the left edge of the box's underside (bottom) bulges inward (see pictures). Unclear what set of events produced this effect. Has no bearing on the box's structural soundness and only visible when the box is opened. The Ex booklet is clean and bright but has a few spots to the underside of the rear cover (see the picture).
The LPs were both closely examined and playgraded. Ex is the cumulative grade bestowed. Here's a full accounting of the (minor) visual flaws: LP1AT1 (hairline); LP1B (small paper scuff); LP2B (two very faint marks); LP3A (hairline, a fingerprint); LP3BT2 (small scratch); LP5 (small nick to the outer - non-playing - edge); LP8AT3-4 (small scratch); LP9 (small scratch - non-playing - outer edge); LP11A (faint hairline); LP11B (small scratch at T2; rubbing to the outer - non-playing - edge of the LP). Here's the playgrade per LP with notes re. those marks where warranted: LP1A - VG+ (6 small ticks); LP1B - Ex; LP2A - Ex; LP2B - Ex (two small noises); LP3A - Ex (no sound from hairline); LP3B - VG+ (4 mild pops); LP4A - NM; LP4B - NM; LP5A - Ex (a quiet tick at the end of T1); LP5B - Ex; LP6A - NM; LP6B - NM; LP7A - NM; LP7B - NM; LP8A - Ex (no sound from the small scratch); LP8B - NM; LP9A - NM (no sound); LP9B = NM; LP10A - NM; LP10B - NM; LP11A - NM (no sound); LP11B - Ex (no sound).
