Description

A complete set of Living Shakespeare LPs and Scripts. There are 26 in total. I have not been able to find a set this complete to compare with, so it would appear that this is a rare find. These were all made in the USA.
I've seen up to 4 boxes, but never all 5 as a complete set.
Most of the scripts and records are in excellent condition. Aside from very minor scuff and a need to be cleaned, the Much Ado About Nothing record is cracked. I doubt it will play well. Also, there are visible scratches on the Winter's Tale and less so on As You Like It. The storage boxes show wear consistent with being 50 years old.
I will ship via Media Mail to keep costs low. Together, the set weighs almost 26 pounds.

LIVING SHAKESPEARE

This is a great lot of 5 slipcased boxes of Shakespeare Plays.  Each box set contains between 4 and 6 LPs and booklets, one for each of the plays included, for a total of twenty-six (25) plays (There are 26 scripts and LPs as King Henry IV has two parts).  The scripts are all in excellent condition, the box cases have some wear to corners and seams, but are in Good to Very Good condition.  I did not go through and check each LP, but the ones I did check are scratch-free--there is some wear to the corner and seams of the paper covers (I tried to show in the pictures).  

The plays are performed by such actors as Eric Portman, Michael Redgrave, Peter Finch, Sam Phillips, Richard Burton, Peter O'Toole, Sarah Churchill, Dame Edith Evans, Venessa Redgrave, Vivien Leigh, and many others.  This would make an excellent find for a teacher, homeschool parent, Shakespeare fan, or collector!  The items pictured are the actual items you are bidding on.
