Description
Comptons Most Wanted – Straight Checkn 'Em (1991) – Original US First Pressing
Up for grabs is an immaculate, Factory Sealed original 1991 first pressing of Comptons Most Wanted's legendary sophomore album, Straight Checkn 'Em (Epic / Orpheus – E 47926).
Finding early 90s gangsta rap vinyl in the wild is getting harder every day, but finding one still locked in its original factory shrink wrap is a true rarity. This is a time capsule piece for the serious West Coast rap preservationist and audiophile collector.
The Collector's Details:
-
The Pressing: 1991 US Original First Pressing.
-
The Wax: Unplayed, untouched, and assumed Mint.
-
The Jacket: Extremely well-preserved underneath the original tight shrink wrap. The spine is rigid, and the colors are perfectly bold with zero ring wear.
-
The Hype: Features the iconic, original bright yellow hype sticker spotlighting the singles "Growin' Up In The Hood," "They Still Gafflin," "Straight Checkn 'em," and "Def Wish" (Sticker code: 47926-S1).
-
Transparency Note: As seen in the photos, there is a clean promotional hole-punch located on the top left corner of the jacket which carries through to the barcode on the back. This is a standard industry practice for the era, designating a promo or cut-out, and serves as a great authenticator of its 1991 vintage without compromising the display quality of the artwork.
