Description
Weird progressive and slightly scary acid-folk act Comus have become a cult act since their early 70s heyday, with several of their records extremely rare and highly collectable. This is one of them.
A 33rpm 'maxi-single', it has three tracks and around 14 minutes of music, and while Diana appears on their debut LP First Utterance, of particular interest are In the lost queen's eyes and Winter is a coloured bird which don't appear anywhere else.
The vinyl is a solid VG+ on the A Side, and more like Good to Good+ on the B Side due to a scratch (pictured) that causes tics. Overall it's a decent listen. Excellent Dawn labels.
The sleeve pictured is NOT an original – it's a high quality replica I put together using colour scans of an original sleeve, pasted to a card envelope cut to size. If you find an original sleeve it's usually in poor condition – this at least showcases the stunning artwork pretty well.
I will also supply an original Dawn paper sleeve (pictured).
