Rare spoken Word record on 78 RPM Record..... Conan Doyle Speaking on HMV 1453-4 78 RPM Record .....The chosen subjects are reflections upon Sherlock Holmes and the influence of His tutor and that other always controversial subject close to his heart -that of "Spiritualism"...I shall disclose no further info on this -as I dont wish to give away the other delights deriving from the pleasure of actually listening to Sir Arthur Conan Doyles Voice!!!...I shall describe the condition of the record as accurately as i can. Firstly, I would say that the record is in near fine condition.. it doesnt even appear to have any scratches-at all !! The only issue hardly worth a mention -is there that is some slight cloudiness in some groove areas where the 78 RPM Record has been kept in its sleeve for so long..removed by cleaning no doubt.(This is quite normal)..finally there is a very tiny ding -not a big one -on one of the tracks-a small pressing fault -and questionable if it would affect replay at this point. thats it -the record is in very nice condition and supplied in a 78rpm cardbord sleeve. The HMV catalogue No. is C 1983.. The pressing Nos engraved on to the lead outs at the end of the record is 32-1453-4 and Cc19312 with a 1and triangle?? (See picture). Supplied in a 78RPM sleeve.It gives me some pleasure to present this item for sale as im sure you are aware how rare such an item featuring Sir Arthur Conan Doyle speaking must be..and a degree of reluctance on my part to let it go..So a genuine good luck to all who biddeth.. I really hope it goes to a good home....I prefer Cheque payment if possible please ..otherwise Cash,PO, travellers cheques also..INSURANCE ( recommended) is OPTIONAL..Let me know if you'd like it added ?
