Description

I have up for auction a Set of 4 records(Longer Playing 12" 78s) on the Concert Hall Limited Edition label on Red Vinyl! I have been listing a number of these wonderful Sets by great classical artists performing some of the less common works! This one is Set B-9, "American Composers At The Piano", a group of 5 Composers performing their own works. The records include Lukas Foss performing "Rondo Fantasy" on Sides 1 and 2. Leo Smit performing "Rondel" (for a young girl) and "Tonata Breakdown" on Side 3. Mark Blitzstein performing Variation III (from Show) and Three, Four Dance: Finale (from Show) on Sides 4 and 5. Norman Dello Joio performing Prelude: To A Young Musician on Side 6 and Prelude: To A Young Dancer on Side 7. Henry Cowell performing Jig; Aeolian Harp; Advertisement on Side 8. The records are in excellent condition, hardly any wear and scuffs or scratches are very few, light and surface variety. Surfaces still quite shiny and clean. Cover and inside sleeves in very good condition as well with musical descriptions inside. On the back inside cover it also describes the Limited Edition, that there were only 3000 copies of which this one is #1596. Also has the signatures of the the 5 Composers/Pianists there!
