Description

The Concert for BanglaDesh: RARE BOX SET of three LP's in near MINT condition, JAPAN PRESSING, with perfect, intact wide red obi, plus inserts including large photo colour book and lyrics booklet.
VINYL: Near MINT condition on high quality Japanese vinyl.
BOX:   Sturdy Box in near MINT condition, made with strong cardboard, slightly faded on top left. No marks or edge wear, no splits or tears, clean, strong corners.
INSERTS: Original inserts including a huge, GLOSSY 64-page PHOTO Book and full Album size English lyrics booklet (printed in English and Japanese) plus a Bob Dylan picture and discography, ALL in near MINT condition.
LABELS: Clean, unblemished labels with no spindle marks.
OBI: Perfect, wide 'Rock Best 100' series red obi-strip in near mint condition.  

The Concert for Bangla Desh, (aka Bangladesh) was a double benefit concert organised by former Beatles guitarist George Harrison and Indian sitar player Ravi Shankar at Madison Square Garden (NYC) in 1971.
The Concert For Bangladesh (1978 Japanese issue - 63AP1292~4 - of the 1971 18-track box set featuring live recordings from the legendary benefit concert held at New York's Madison Square Garden, including performances from George HARRISON, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Ravi Shankar, Leon Russell and Billy Preston. Includes a superb 64-page full colour photo booklet and eight-page lyric booklet - all housed in a sturdy box with wide 'Rock Best 100' series obi-strip.
This is a simply stunning package!

Billed as "George Harrison and Friends", the concerts featured a supergroup of performers that included Harrison, Ringo Starr, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Billy Preston, Leon Russell, Ravi Shankar, Ali Akbar Khan and the Welsh rock band, Badfinger.
 
This RARE BOX SET of three Stereo LP's is the 1978 box set for Japan, with original hanging obi, plus full Album Size LYRICS insert and full Album Size SIXTY-FOUR PAGE COLOUR BOOKLET.
This TRIPLE LP BOX SET and all the contents are in superb condition.
Records and colour pictures in the booklet are in near MINT CONDITION.
Box is well-made and clean. (Made in Japan) - no splits, no surface wear, not even corner wear.
Records are photographed through the inner sleeve dust covers to preserve their mint condition.
