Description
Conor Oberst S/t Newbury Colored Black & White Marble LP Vinyl Ltd 300 Sold Out Bright Eyes
This recording was made in Tepoztlán, Morelos, México during the months of January and February 2008. In Tepoztlán, a place known for Aztec Magic and Extra-Terrestrial Sightings, a temporary studio was created in a mountain villa called Valle Místico at the outskirts of town. It was produced by Conor Oberst with much help from engineer and long time associate, Andy LeMaster.
A special band was assembled for the recording, known amongst themselves and to friends as The Mystic Valley Band. Members include Nate Walcott, Jason Boesel, Macey Taylor, Nik Freitas, and Taylor Hollingsworth. It was there at Valle Místico that Conor and the band lived and worked for that time in near perfect harmony, often unaware of the hour or the day. The result was his first solo album in thirteen years, following "Water" (1993), "Here's To Special Treatment" (1994), and "Soundtrack To My Movie" (1995). In that time, he'd recorded and performed in Commander Venus, Park Ave., Desaparecidos, and most notably Bright Eyes, his main musical vehicle for the prior decade.
Album includes a digital download.
PACKAGING
All LPs and 12"s will be shipped in a thick, sturdy, frustration-free type LP mailer with extended edges to protect your album from bends and corner dents during shipping. We pay a premium for these mailers so you don't have to gamble on receiving an item damaged by the post office.
Stock is always in-hand, ready to ship, and stored in a pet, child and smoke-free area.
SHIPPING
LPs are shipped media mail (faster and safer than many people realize) or First Class International for non-US orders. We do combine shipping. Please note we can only combine shipping on items of similar format (ie LP + LP, CD + CD, NOT LP + CD). To receive a combined shipping rate, please place all the items you would like to order in your cart and click the "request total" button toward the top right of the shopping cart item detail. We will then send you an invoice with your combined shipping rate. All packages are shipped within 24 hours of purchase. If the purchase occurs on a Saturday or Sunday EST, the package will be shipped the following Monday, excepting US holidays.
RETURNS
If the LP you are purchasing is new and sealed, it cannot be returned once opened unless the item is incorrect, damaged or defective. Some new records may have slight warps of varying degrees from the manufacturing process. This is not an issue as long as the sound quality is not affected and your needle can track the record. Some new records may come with debris in the grooves as a result of the manufacturing process, which may cause the record to skip. If this occurs, please attempt to clean the record first (a micro-fiber cloth and record cleaning fluid is the most basic method) before requesting a return. Please note that picture discs, while they can be played, will often have subpar sound quality. These should be considered desirable for their collectibility rather than sonics.
