Description

Cookie's Gingersnaps, a Doc Cook group, play "High Fever" and

"Here Comes The Hot Tamale Man" on 78rpm original label Truetone

OKeh 8369.


Jimmie Noone is sitting in on clarinet, with Freddie Keppard blowing

cornet.


Both of these Race Series sides were done in Chicago on June 22, 1926.


The record is in E- to V+ condition on the A side, and V+ condition on

the B side. Both sides have small scratches which make a few ticks

and pops. The B side is slightly scratchy at the start. There is a

harmless number painted in the run-off on the B side. There is a

scratch on the A side label.


All in all, not a bad copy of a scarce one.
