One of the rarest Mercury’s on the TAS list, this is a fabulous Wilma Cozart – Bob Fine recording of Dorati and his favored Minneapolis playing works of Copland.
Featured selections are RODEO, Four Dance Episodes; EL SALON MEXICO; and DANZON CUBANO.
Absolutely stunning sound here, make no mistake, that places you right in the hall. This no doubt because, it's an FR1, without limiting or compression of any kind. Fact is, this record is one of the very finest ever produced at Mercury, and this particular one is in fine shape:
Full-colorback cover is fine, just a wee amount of poke-through on the bottom seam that has just begun. Inside, the FR1 platter should play near mint, only a slight scuff at the very end of side 1 poses any kind of problem. (It may tic briefly.)
Not to be missed by music lover and audiophile alike, as this is one of the very finest sounding albums you are ever likely to hear.
Truly extraordinary!
