Promo 45 rpm Mint BUDDY HOLLY 1950s Coral- Brown Eyed Handsome Man - RARE!. This mint and unplayed Buddy Holly promo single was pressed in 1963 after Buddy’s death in 1959. Chuck Berry’s “Brown-Eyed Handsome Man” was originally on Buddy’s 1959 album “The Buddy Holly Story” but wasn’t released on a single. Yellow label Coral promo copies of Holly music are very difficult to find and unplayed with sleeve are rare. This 45 comes from the personal collection of Myron Lee who recorded at the Norman Petty studios in Clovis, NM in the same studio used by Buddy Holly, Buddy Knox, Jimmy Gilmer and others. Myron Lee and the Caddies were the stage band of the Dick Clark Caravan of Stars in 1963 and 1965. Myron toured with Bobby Vee and Buddy Knox extensively but his band also toured with Roy Orbison, Bobby Rydell, The Rolling Stones, Herman’s Hermits, George Jones, Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Anthony, The Four Seasons, The Ronette’s and others.
