Description
Rare is a severely overworked word on eBay but this Cornells original 1963 surf LP “Beach Bound” (Garex LP-GA100) qualifies if anything does and is in surprisingly nice condition. Subtitled “Surfing Time USA” it has a tracklist of 12 killer surf classics.
The group is made up of the sons of some early TV and movie personalities including lead guitarist Pete Lewis later a member of Moby Grape and the son of Loretta Young.
The tracklist is: Agja Caliente/Beachbound/Caravan/Miserlou/Night Train/Malibu Surf/Lone Star Stomp/Shanghied/Stomping After Five/Surfers Stomp.
The glossy LP is in excellent condition with some sleeve scuffs and a few superficial scratches. The playback is crisp and clear. You should expect some surface noise and a light tick now and then but nothing at all overwhelming. The cover has no splits, tears, writing, stains or cutouts. There is some light ringwear on the front and some light aging and wear on the back.
