Description

Great, Classic, Surf Beach Pop Rock record from Garex (Private label?)! Beach Bound - Surfin' Time U.S.A. is the Lp by The Cornells.

The Cornells were a 1960s Los Angeles band that played mostly surf music. Four of the five members had a parent that was a well known celebrity. The band appeared on the show I've Got A Secret in 1963 with the secret "We're all the sons of Hollywood Celebrities. They played Caravan live on the show.  Members:  Peter Lewis, lead guitar; is the son of Loretta Young and screenwriter Tom Lewis. He was later a member of Moby Grape.  Bob Linkletter, rhythm guitar; son of Art Linkletter.  Jim O'Keefe, saxophone; son of Dennis O'Keefe.  Charlie Correll, drums; son of Charlie Correll, who portrayed Andy on the Amos and Andy radio program.  Tom Crumplar, bass; The only member without a famous parent.

It came out in 1963. I'm starting it at a low minimum bid and no reserve. The cover is a solid VG++, with no writing, cut-out marks, split seams or  stickers. The only real flaw in the cover is the minor rubbing/ring wear that is visible in the picture  The vinyl is a strong VG+ and most would say better.  It is a U.S. release on Garex Records GA 100.  Don't  miss out on this great copy of a very rare record!  Check out my other listings this week!
