R.I.P. is the debut album by the Swiss thrash metal band, Coroner, originally released on June 1, 1987. This album marks the first chapter of the band's progression (thus it is less focused) and is characterized by raw speed and power (save for the instrumentals), very typical of thrash metal at this time.
In preparation of their upcoming studio album release, CORONER’s revered 80’s catalogue is finally being re-released now: “R.I.P.” (1987), “Punishment For Decadence” (1988) as well as “No More Color” (1989) have been carefully re-mastered and are now finally available again on LP for the current generation of Metalheads to rediscover the group’s outstanding, timeless and highly creative early output.
