Description
Punk muzik, proto-punk, alt-music. Whatever you want to call it, this band was part of the New York City scene in the late 70's. Yes, they played CBGB. Corpse Grinders was a famous New York City band that featured Rick Rivets who was a member of the New York Dolls before they were called the New York Dolls and Arthur Kane who was a member of the New York Dolls and played on their two classic albums. Stu Wylder on vocals and Jimmy Criss on drums round out the group. Look this band up, then bid for this record.
This is a near-mint used copy of The Corpse Grinders 7”45 RPM disc. I bought it decades ago and never played this copy. I don't see any pops or scratches on the vinyl, but look at the photos for yourself. The picture sleeve has aged somewhat, but is in very good shape, with no tears or severe folds. “Rites, 4 Whites” and “Mental Moron” were recorded at Backstreet Studios in The Bronx and released as a single on Whiplash Records, complete with a bizarre sex/death picture sleeve. The disc is factory etched 45-102A and 45-102B on the inside ring.
