Cover/LP: VG++/VG+(w/ a few light scuffs). Poster is near mint-. Blank white labels, no label info or release year printed on cover or label.
This is the rare reissue of the mega rare compilation/collaboration album called "Take Your Headphones". The original was released back in the early seventies as a limited edition of 500 numbered copies. It features music by The Cosmic Jokers, Ash Ra Tempel, Klaus Schulze and many other Krautrock artists of that era(Harald Grosskopf/Rolf-Urlich Kaiser/Gille Lettmann/Walter Wegmuller/Jurgen Dollase/Timothy Leary/Mythos/Dieter Dierks/Popol Vuh/Bernd Witthuser/Wallenstein/Walter Westrupp/Sergius Golowin are all pictured on the poster) . This reissue was released some years ago as a limited edition of only 300 copies. Whereas the original had no inserts whatsoever, this reissue comes with a reproduction of the great poster that came with original copies of "Gilles Zeitschiff".. Furthermore, this beautiful reissue is sealed with a red wax stamp and some silver wire. This is an opened copy.
Surely the oddity in the KOSMISCHE KURIERE sage, Take Your Headphones was a very, very limited sampler originally released in 1974, devised to introduce Rolf-Ulrich Kaisers troupe to the US market. Very much like Gille Lettmanns GILLES ZEITSCHRIFT, it took fragments of various Cosmic Couriers records & sessions, editing, mixing and splicing them up with spoken word messages (courtesy of Kaiser & Lettmann themselves), weird sound effects & even some classical music into a psychedelic headtrip
All lps are shipped in lp mailer boxes w/ cardboard padding inside the box. lps are removed from inside the cover, still inside their inner sleeve and placed behind the cover inside a plastic sleeve.
