Description

For sale are four releases by or featuring Count Basie with 5 total records.  April in Paris is on the Verve Japan label, #UMV-2641, mono press.  The vinyl is clean and shiny and plays perfectly, the jacket is really nice too, but some pen markings near song titles on the back.  One Note Samba is a German 2 LP set from Time Wind label in 1980.  This really appears to be 2 completely different LP's packaged together.  Record one has really nice sounding recordings from 1961, record 2 has live recording from 1937-1944.  Both of these look at least VG+ if not EX, and record 1 plays a solid EX.  The second record has some light noise, but I'm 99% certain that is just source material, the vinyl looks too nice and too similar to the other to have surface noise otherwise.  This jacket has more shelf wear and weakness in the bottom seams, more of a VG jacket.  E=MC2 is Roulette R-52003, solid VG+ jacket and VG+ vinyl that plays more EX.  Finally includes Swing Concert featuring the Carnegie Hall Concerts of 1938/39, with Count Basie, Benny Goodman, and the Kansas City Six, 51 West label Q-16007.  The jacket is EX in shrink, the vinyl is borderline VG+ to EX, plays EX for sure, fully tested.
