Description

Here's the fabulous Basie band of 1960 – an outstanding line-up that included Thad Jones, Al Grey, Frank Foster and many other star performers, heard in excellent stereo sound thanks to recording engineer Wally Heider. They played a great set of pieces written for them by Benny Carter, evoking the places and streets of Kansas City where Basie got started in the 1930s. This is a new and sealed copy of the true analogue-remastered 180g vinyl audiophile edition produced by Pure Pleasure, now out of print and hard to find. PLEASE NOTE shipping to UK only.
