Description

78 rpm Phonograph records. This lot includes some great country music. Most have scuffs/ scratches from years of play. Records were not played in their entirety but Obvious defects are tested and commented on below. They are sold as is with no returns. See the list below for Titles and comments. Shipping via Media Mail at buyers expense. No Sleeves but carefully wrapped for shipment. No charge for materials or packing.

Melotone 12733 Gene Autry- The Life of Jimmie Rodgers/ The Death of Jimmie Rodgers (graying grooves- plays with slight noise)


Columbia 15510- Lubbock Texas Quartet- Turn Away / O Mother How We Miss You (needle dig pops 2x but plays thru)


Mellow 1616 Rye's Blue Yodlers (1940's label)- On Down the Line (plays with a few pops)/You Had Time to Think it Over (scuffs both sides)


Victor V-40014 (faded lbl) Jimmie Rodgers- Waiting for a train/Blue Yodel No. 4 (worn record- plays w noise but Jimmie is clearly audible)


Silvertone 4008 Tweedy Brothers- Cripple Creek/ Birdie (several pressing defects)


OKEH 45103 Scottsdale String Band-(dance calls) Chinese Breakdown (2" lam crack- very light pop)/In the Shade of the Parasol (plays well overall)


Vocalion 5026 McFarland and Gardner- Bully of the Town/Pretty Polly (3/4" scuff near start- inaudible but there is slight noise overall both sides)


Columbia 556 Henry Ford's Old Fashioned Dance Orch-L P Baxter (dulcimer)- Medley of Reels/Sicilian Circle ( sounds great- neat dulcimer record)


Columbia 15318 Leake County Revelers- Crow Black Chicken (long scratch)/Been to the East Been to the West (2 edge chips not in grooves- sounds great)


Champion 15261 Abner Burkhardt- Medley- After the Ball- In the Good Old Summertime etc. Harmonica and Guitar/Red Wing, My Little Girl, Turkey in the Straw (plays well w slight noise)


OKEH 45290 Fiddlin' John Carson- John Makes Good Likker (plays well)/Moonshine Kate (deep scratches this side- audible in spots but not continuously)


Velvet Tone 7047 Hobo Jack Turner- Oklahoma Blues (edge chip not in grooves)/In the Jailhouse Now (scratches both sides but plays well)


Columbia 15211 Macon Quartet- oops! sacred quartet- Yodel/Uncle Joe (very worn record- plays with significant noise)


Diva 2740 Hobo Jack Turner- The Bowery Bums/The Bums Rush (heat dmg at start both sides- swishes for about 1/4"


Victor V-40082 Bud and Joe Billings- Lonesome Railroad/Birmingham Jail No. 2 (looks good- plays good)


Victor 20869 Frank and James McCravy- These Bones G'wina Rise Again/ Six Feet of Earth (looks good- plays good)


Vocalion 5028 Emry Arthur- I am a Man of Constant Sorrow (white streaks on record- pops a few times/Down in Tennessee Valley (graying grooves- moderate noise)


Columbia 15456 Charlie Poole w/ N. Carolina Ramblers- The Wayward Boy (sm edge chip not in gr- long scratch near end pops right near the end)/Good-bye Mary Dear (stained- see picture- swishes due to that) both sides scuffed


Victor 20798 Ernest Rogers- Steamboat Bill/Waitin' for the Robert E. Lee (nice record- plays great)
