Here you have a copy of the rare Beastie Boys country album. It plays well and is in good condition. This will be a great addition to any Beastie Boy fan's collection.
To my knowledge this was released as a promotional item at the time they released their Best Of compilation 'The Sounds of Science'. A couple of the songs from this hilarious LP were included on said release ('Railroad Blues' and 'Country Mike's Theme') but one notable track that is on this LP only (and nowhere else) is 'Country Delight' - a brilliant country version of Sugarhill Gang's 'Rappers Delight'. In the liner notes for 'The Sounds of Science' the story goes that Mike D received a knock to the head which resulted in him waking up believing to be a country and western singer - the doctor's advice was apparently for the rest of the band to go along with it until he got better... and this is the result!
I've had this record for a good few years now; I found it in a record shop in Liverpool and it totally took me be surprise as I didn't even know it existed! It's time for me to pass it in now, and for someone else to enjoy it.
