Butch Cage & Willie B Thomas + Friends - Country Negro Jam Sessions LP USA Original Issue Mono Silver on Matt Black Label LP from 1960.
Really nice copy of this absolute classic country blues LP. I have this spare copy for sale and in my humble opinion there is no better country blues recording in existence. This is the guaranteed 1st issue on the super rare Folk-Lyric label and it is in really nice condition, you will be hard pushed to find a better copy.
A fantastic set of tracks laid down by some of the country blues greats of the period - Robert Pete Williams, Smokey Babe and others but the overall atmosphere created is one of complete joy, Butch Cage and Willie B Thomas' contribution is 1st class. I have been collecting blues records for some 30 years and have yet to hear a better field recording than this one. This is a 2nd copy I have and that is the only reason to sell it.
The cover is Excellent-, still bright and glossy, slight signs of ware and ageing. No writing, no bad creasing, clean and tidy spine.
The vinyl is graded Excellent and is very clean, a couple of plays only.
Comes with original onion skin inner sleeve but a additional poly-lined inner will be supplied.
This is an original 1st issue album, 60 years old! it is a genuine classic and it will only get harder to find.
Records will be seperated from covers and safely packed in cruciform mailers with inserts etc... I ship Worldwide but please note records to the USA over 500gm in weight now cost £16.50 and Australia is even more (actual costs only) with Royal Mail. Please message me if you are unsure.
