"Courtroom Session" Steamship Ancon Players 16" Lacquer Transcription Disc HEAR!
Description
RARE, original 16" radio transcription disc
Reference recording: double-sided lacquer over aluminum acetate
Comedy routine "The Courtroom Session" recorded by the Ancon Players, crew members of the S.S. Ancon, a steamship located in the Panama Canal. Likely unique, this recording probably dates from the mid-to-late 1930s
This rare broadcast appears to be completely unavailable elsewhere, even at otrrlibrary.org
Recorded in Panama
PLEASE NOTE there is an edge chip on the first side that touches the opening groove. Extreme care must be taken when performing a sound transfer. If the stylus is touched down at the opening groove, the lacquer might flake off, thereby destroying its contents forever. For this reason I am selling this disc AS IS!
Visually graded a glossy G+ with scratches throughout , it is skip-free
Sound files are flat / no EQ, no noise reduction or other masking. What you hear is exactly what you get! You won't be disappointed!
This will be safely packed, reinforced with cardboard, and cushioned between styrofoam peanuts. Shipped inside a brand new 20" x 20" x 4" carton
My photos always depict the actual item(s) you are buying!

About Us
I take buyer feedback very seriously! Contact me BEFORE posting feedback if you have any concerns regarding your purchase. I've been buying and selling records for longer than I care to admit, and know what it's like being a victim of the Wishful Thinking Grading System, also known as the Fool's Goldmine Scale. Don't be surprised if you receive something "better than described"
Still, record grading is largely subjective; so in the unlikely event you're not satisfied with your disc, let me know. Please allow up to 48 hours for a response: my weekends are spent searching for more cool stuff!
Check the feedback: I've been selling on eBay for over ten years! In addition to infinite.bizdom, I am employed full-time to help run another (considerably larger) eBay operation that specializes in jewelry, pocket watches, and wristwatches. Bottom line: buy with confidence. I know what I'm doing, and am in it for the "long haul"
I appreciate your business!
