Description

I have up for auction a GREAT record from 1957, Cousin Leroy ( rozier) on Ember # 1023 "UP THE RIVER" / "I'M LONESOME" this recrord is it super condition with very little wear and just some light sleeve rubs. Lots of shine and gloss, and plays as great as it looks! Its a great blues record that does not show up very often. I would gives this a M- as a grade because of the light use. Both labels are near mint and only the Up the river side has a black dot off to the left ( see pic) I cound'nt find a whole lot about this record on google, did find this review tho

The singer made a very favorable impression with his earlier release on Ember B-1016, and upholds it with the present coupling. UP THE RIVER is a determined, plodding slow blues, sung with intense emotion by Cousin Leroy in his high pitched, excited voice. On I’M LONESOME the singer reaches an even higher peak of excitement in an up-tempo blues. The instrumental work is excellent. There is especially good harmonica on I'M LONESOME and a nice blue guitar on UP THE RIVER

Record will be packed in sleeve betwwen two cardboard cut outs, then bubble wrapped in a 4in thick box. Over-sea shipping is $35.00, my last record I shipped over seas was that much. Email all questions?
