For auction is a very rare example of the earliest first UK Mono press of the classic album by Cream - Disraeli Gears. Identified as the earliest of first presses due to the Apple and Windfall miscredits on the labels - these were corrected very early in the first issue.The sleeve is a genuine first issue - laminated both sides, while later presses were only front laminated. Sleeve in VG condition with only minor corner wear and minor feathering to the opening edges. Spine fully intact.Inner sleeve in good condition- somewhat crumpled but intact.Record visually is a G+, with many scuffs hairlines and some shallow scratches. Sonically, however, it plays as a VG, with only issues being crackles between tracks and in quiet passages and a few occasional pops. No sticks skips or jumps. Otherwise it is a very enjoyable listen.This is a chance to buy a very playable copy of an iconic 1960s album. It is in no way clean shiny and audiophile in quality, but those are almost impossible to get and would set you back about £250 according to Rare Record price guide.This is a clean sleeved and playable example of a genuine early first issue, which is a rarity, and would grace any collection.
