Description
Cream’s Disraeli Gears mono earliest first pressing A/ 1 1 B/ 1 1 1967 UK Reaction Records 594003 with fully laminated cover and RS (Robert Stigwood) on both labels and Apple publishing credit for track B4 and rare withdrawn uncredited E.J. Day credit on the rear panel.
Mono pressing...the way this record was meant to be heard!
This band is why the term “supergroup” was coined and for good reason they were the cream of the crop and this fascinating debut record confirmed it. You have to remember this was 1966!!!! I saw them at Madison Square Garden here in New York City in October of 1968 they were amazing live.
If you haven’t listened to Cream in a while...Get reacquainted with them you’ll be happy you did!
The record grades a modest Excellent+ there’s just a few very feint marks nothing deep at all or that affects the performance of this outstanding record there is a touch of low level static just in a few of the run ins and outs and just a few ultra light ticks nothing serious whatsoever....This mono pressing sounds outstanding!
This brilliant Ernest J. Day & Co fully laminated record cover grades a strong Excellent there are some corner bumps with a bit of chipping....The front panel is very vibrant and has only one small laminate pinch and some very light brushing and the rear panel is very clean the spine is fully legible and the seam are intact (see scans).
As with all records there may be a stray tick, click, pop or surface noise during the run ins and run outs and a touch of crackle or low level static here and there which is totally normal with vinyl. If there was anything out of the ordinary like too much of any the above I would not list the record, as I am first and foremost a record collector just like you..This paragraph is just to explain what you might encounter when buying vinyl records and is no reflection on this particular record.
I've been collecting records for over 55 years now and this album is from my personal collection.
