Description
The original UK Reaction blue label mono 1st press. With the first label variant with the 'MCPS'/'MCPS' & 1966 publishing credits on the labels and the earliest A//2 B//1 matrices and 1-1- 1-1-14 stampers.
The band began recording at Rayrik Studios in London's Chalk Farm in the summer of 1966 (from which Wrapping Paper & The Coffee Song resulted), soon after they had formed the band. The core of the album work was completed at Ryemuse Studios, in London in Sep-Nov 1966 with Jack Timperley engineering at both studios. The album was released in December and reached no.6 in the UK early in 1967 as the band began touring the world!
The Ernest J. Day & Co Ltd front laminated sleeve is intact & in VG+ condition, with a some laminate rubbing & a couple of small laminate creases on the front cover and some storage rubbing and staining on the rear cover. The spine is intact, but worn and no longer readable, the plain company inner is intact, discoloured & in VG+ condition.
The sound reproduction is EX, still clear & precise with definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some brief background noise during the run in grooves, which stops when the music starts.
Overall, a really great loud and clear listen.
The matrix nos. are; 593001, A//2-420-1-1-, B//1-420-1-14. This is one of the early copies of the 1st pressing of the original 1966 UK mono 1st issue of this album! The original UK Reaction blue label mono 1st press!

All lp's are sent in cardboard record mailers with plastic covers and cardboard stiffeners to protect the LP's!! UK Signed For Postage is £4.50 for the first LP & is the same for up to four single LP's or two double LP's or more up to 2kg.
Royal Mail post to Europe (All EU countries & non EU countries, including Russia, Finland, Norway, Sweden, etc.), the Rest of the World (Zone 1, including Canada, Japan, Brazil, Korea, China, South Africa, etc.) and the Rest of the World Zones 2 & 3 (the USA, Australia & New Zealand etc).
All Airmail is limited to 5 or 6 lp's due to 2kg weight restrictions.
