2 LP SET ON UK POLYDOR 583-031/2 STEREO MATT SLEEVE WITH MATT PSYCHEDELIC COLORS INSIDE GATE FOLDUK RELEASE 2 LP SET, THIS IS THE ORIGINAL WAY THIS LP WAS RELEASED IN THE UK AS A 2 LP SET!!

THE VINYL IS NEAR MINT, EXCELLENT PLUS, ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! VERY SHINY, THE SHEEN LOOKS LIKE IT JUST CAME OFF THE PRESSES - NO REAL EVIDENCE OF PLAY. UNDER VERY BRIGHT ARIZONA SUNSHINE I SPOTTED A VERY FAINT THIN HAIRLINE DUE TO TAKING OUT OF SLEEVE ON ONE SIDE. THIS IS THE BEST COPY I HAVE SEEN SINCE DAY OF RELEASE!!
ON PLAYING THE SOUND IS SPECTACULAR WITH NO SURFACE NOISE EVEN BETWEEN TRACKS - SUPERIOR UK PRESSING - I MUST NOTE THAT THIS LP SET IS USUALLY FOUND IN BAD SHAPE DUE TO PLAY - THIS ONE IS PERFECT! VERY UNUSUAL TO FIND ONE IN THIS KIND OF SHAPE AND AN ORIGINAL POLYDOR RELEASE, NOT THE RE-RELEASE ON SRO.
JACKET - IN EXCELLENT SHAPE, AS UK ALBUMS ARE NOT SHRINK WRAPPED, THERE IS SLIGHT RING WEAR, BUT OTHER THAN THAT AND SOME LIGHT BUMPING TO OPENING EDGE, THERE IS NO DAMAGE. NO SPLITS, NO WRITING OR LABELS. THE INSIDE IS PERFECT WITH BEAUTIFUL VIBRANT PSYCHEDELIC MATT COLORING. THE SPINE HAS SOME LIGHT PAPER DAMAGE BUT NOTHING SERIOUS, AGAIN DUE TO NON SHRINKWRAPPING.
THIS HAS BEEN VERY WELL MAINTAINED FOR 47 YEARS OR SO!!

FINALLY ONE LAST WORD RE HAIRLINES, IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ANY NON SEALED RECORD WITHOUT THEM, MANY HAD THEM FROM NEW. MOSTLY THEY ARE A RESULT OF STORAGE AND USE AND USUALLY HAVE LITTLE IMPACT ON THE SOUND QUALITY. THE SAME GOES FOR BACKGROUND NOISE, UNFORTUNATELY ALL RECORDS WILL HAVE SOME AND THIS VARIES AND REFLECTS THE PRESSING QUALITY.
Most records have production marks where someone touched or moved the vinyl while it was still semi-soft. These marks look like smudges, but are not scratches or "paper scuffs" and do not usually sound. Untouched vinyl from newly-opened records have these marks.

How I Grade Condition Of Discs
Mint
This means I have owned it from new or purchased from a distributors warehouse, basically it means absolutely new shape, never been played or out of its dust cover. In the case of LP's, a North American album will have to be factory sealed (anyone can reseal an album!) Take Note: European and Japaneses albums were never shrink wrapped!
Note: Being mint does not guarantee it's free of pops and clicks, many pressings especially from the US were made with very poor vinyl and in a hurry which means often there are imperfections in the pressing. As a former importer, we were often given back brand new albums due to clicks heard in the playback.
Mint Minus - No such thing, it's either mint or not.
Excellent - A disc is super clean, with no visible marks
Excellent Plus, means it's probably mint but can't be proven by me.
Excellent minus, is a disc that is excellent except it may have some markings that do not show up in the playing
VG - A disc that is STILL in good shape, WILL have some scuffs or scratches, not in excellent shape but well worth owning. VG + and ++,a disc that is that much better than VG.
VG minus, just a smidgen below VG
