Description

Cream, Wheels of Fire, in the studio, 1st pressing. This is the original 1968, 1st pressing of the album on the Polydor label; matrix numbers 583033 A//1, B//1. The album was released in August 1968 and predates the live album (released in September 1968) and the double album (both studio and live album together in 1 package, which was released later in August 1968). This is by the 1st ever 'Super Group' with Eric Clapton on guitar, it is pressed in extra thick vinyl that has a high gloss. The label and vinyl are in near mint condition with very light surface marks only. The outer unlaminated sleeve is by Ernest J. Day (not the usual E. J. Day) and it shows some storage marks (see picture) but is has no writing rips or tears. All in all, a very fine 1st pressing of this early Cream album
