Description
As a long term vinyl fanatic, I am continuing to sell some of my original, first edition and limited edition albums to collectors of rare vinyl. I pride myself in trying to offer rare, sought after albums for collectors and I aim to set my prices at a fair but competitive price, based on previous sales, background information available and the quality of the albums on offer.
In this case I am offering a limited edition MOFI pressing of Deja Vu that is a half speed production pressed in Japan and released in 1983. It has been out of print for many years and is possibly one of the best pressings of this classic first album from CSN&Y first recorded in 1970.
As always I will provide an honest assessment of the album purchased and looked after by me for over forty years. Having play tested the album I have graded it as EX+. The only minor issue to mention are a couple of pops near the start of the very quiet , short track 4+20 by Stephen Stills. This in no way detracts from the overall excellence of the album. There are no scratches or other pops or clicks and the surface noise throughout is almost silent. As should be expected from a half cut master the overall sound is very dynamic and spacious with superb production quality.
The outer sleeve has lost none of its original quality and the gold lettering has shown no sign of wear as can sometimes happen with this unique cover. The photo on the front is attached to the cover. The embossed, thick gatefold cover has no marks or creases and there is only a slight sign of wear at the base if the cover (please see attached photos). This is being highlighted so there is no dispute about any damage being caused during transit. The original insert is virtually mint and I have replaced the original inner sleeve with a protective, modern sleeve.
When posting I ensure the album is fully protected in a custom packaged box with added protection by separating the vinyl and the sleeve with added layers of cardboard to minimise any damage during transit. Although I only ask for minimum postage I always send my albums by first class, guaranteed delivery.
