Description
Here we have an original 1969 UK stereo copy of Crosby Stills and Nash self titled album. Released on the Atlantic Plum/ Red label, this is an A2/B2 1st press copy - the full matrix numbers are;
588189 A//2 588189 B//2
The record has been ultrasonically cleaned in our amazing Degritter and the vinyl has come up spotless and shiny with numerous scuffs and fine hairlines - see photos. No feelable damage. Clean labels with some light spindle trails.
Playback reveals a nostalgic, warm and analogue sound. There is great detail here with the delicate guitar work, everything has its own space in the soundscape - this is a beautiful recording. There is some background noise in parts, typically on the run in & between tracks, to be expected for vinyl of this age, but nothing that detracts from the enjoyment of a wonderful, spiritual & timeless album.
The lovely textured gatefold sleeve ( very tactile!) is in a clean & pretty sturdy condition given its great age. There is age related discolouration & wear to edges, corners and spine but no tears or splits. The back bottom seam is just starting to come unstuck ( needs a spot of glue only) but overall not bad - no writing or ugly tape, one tiny brown stain on the front.
The folding lyric sheet is included - clean but slightly yellowed from age.
The original heavyweight poly lined inner sleeve is present & still doing a great job of keeping the record clean & protected. The record will be sent separated out in an archival outer sleeve to prevent transit damage to the sleeve.
This is a lovely original copy to own, play and enjoy - fully cleaned and playtested, ready to pop straight onto your turntable.
We have taken lots of photos in good natural daylight so you can see exactly what you are buying. Please take a moment to look at the pictures as they form part of the description.
