Hello, I am a long time seller and buyer on eBay (since October 1999) with a 100% positive feedback record, so bid and buy with confidence. I have recently decided to start selling my personal collection of classic rock records (era approximately 1964 to 1974). My grading is conservative because I do not want the buyer to be disappointed with their purchase. I grade the vinyl both by playing it and by close visual inspection. Similarly, I grade the cover, inserts and label by close, critical inspection. I have been selling other items I collect the last couple of years but have now decided to switch selling my record collection. So, please keep checking back as I intend to offer more rare classic rock albums in the near future.
For sale today is Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young's classic Deja Vu album in the extremely rare mono, white label, format formulated for play on AM radio and released in 1970. I grade the vinyl as VG++. It has two light pops on the song Almost Cut My Hair" (Side One) and approximately five to 10 seconds of light ticking on the song Helpless (Side One). Side Two plays great with no issues. The vinyl lies flat, with no warpage, no skips and no sticks.
The special promotional white labels look great except for one minor issue: a prior owner apparently tried to erase some mark on both Side One and on Side Two. This misguided attempt has left a slight rub area as shown in the photos.
I rate the cover as Near Mint. It is in fantastic shape except for slight wear at the corners of the spine and a very slight push on the lower right front corner. It has the factory-issued red DJ Monaural Not for Sale sticker firmly attached to the front cover. The sticker is also great shape except for a bit of light wear.
This album does not come with an original inner sleeve (not sure it was even issued with one being it was a promotional item). But, as with all of my records, I have stored the vinyl in an archival inner sleeve and also placed the vinyl in a separate sturdy hard-cover outer sleeve. This preserves both the vinyl as well as protects the original cover from wear and tear caused by having to store the vinyl record.
All in all, this is a highly collectible example of this very rare version of this classic rock record. I am certain the buyer will be pleased, but if not, I offer a 100% refund policy (buyer pays return mailing costs). The album will be sent via first class US mail. Thanks for looking.
