CROSBY, STILLS, NASH & YOUNG - ONE-SIDED TEST PRESSING “Teach Your Children” - 1970
This is a one-sided 7-inch 45 RPM test pressing of “Teach Your Children” recorded at the Atlantic Recording Studios in New York in October of 1969 and issued as a single by Atlantic Records in May of 1970 and included on their album “Deja Vu”.
“Teach Your Children" was written by Graham Nash of the Hollies in 1968. It was initially recorded for the album Crosby, Stills & Nash in 1969. This enhanced version was recorded for the album Déjà Vu by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. It peaked at #16 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Label: Generic white label with Atlantic Recording Corp. info at the bottom.
Vinyl: VG+ with plenty of shine. There are a couple of scratches, scuffs but no persistent pops or skips. The reverse side has no grooves. The dead wax reads “MFR. by Specialty Records - Back Plate”.
Provenance: This copy originally belonged to Boston area disc jockey Ken Rapoza. After his death in a 1987 motorcycle accident, it was inherited by another Massachusetts disc jockey and collector who had it for more than 35 years before his death in 2024.
