I am the original owner of this seminal bootleg album by CSN&Y. I know it to be an extremely early version of the record as in my youth I was in the habit of writing the date of acquisition on the inner sleeve of my albums. As you can see, this one is from July 29, 1970 (which was a Wednesday!).
The record has remained in its shrink wrap since new and as a result the jacket is in excellent condition with extremely good edges and corners. There is some ring wear visible. The paper liner has one small split on one edge.
The disc itself visually reveals a goodly number of hairlines, scuffs, scratches, etc.. However I was amazed to discover that most of that stuff is reasonably inaudible. Even the shocking marks on Side Two (see Picture 7) do not have a negative effect on the playback! However, Side Two/Track One (only) has a couple of skips. The record otherwise plays with the typical pops, ticks, and surface noise of vinyl albums from this era. There is also some audio distortion which I believe is a product of the source material rather than any particular pressing. The vinyl itself is thick and heavy.
