NOTE: This album was part of a TN Radio Hall of Fame DJ's estate and was never released to the general public for sale.
This is an original 1971 United States double-LP White Label Promotional pressing of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young's seminal live album, 4-Way Street. This incredibly scarce artifact was manufactured strictly for AM radio station distribution and features the highly coveted, legendary "Drum" etching in the deadwax matrix area. No commercial mono versions were ever released to the general public, making this historical promo package a crown jewel for any serious CSNY or 1970s rock discography collection.
Recorded during their explosive June–July 1970 tour at historic venues like the Fillmore East and the LA Forum, 4-Way Street documents the band at both their musical zenith and their point of fracturing. The double-LP masterfully splits their showcase between intimate acoustic performances and blistering, high-voltage electric rock epics.
By 1971, multi-LP live rock albums were engineered entirely with sweeping stereo soundscapes in mind. However, due to lingering broadcast requirements for AM radio bands, Atlantic Records pressed a minuscule quantity of these custom black-on-white "Sample Copy — Not For Sale" mono packages. The distinctive mono mix balances the raw audience energy, brings the intricate multi-part vocal harmonies closely together, and packs an aggressive punch to the dual-guitar combat between Stephen Stills and Neil Young.

Condition Grading:
Vinyl Condition: Near Mint (NM). The white promo labels are clean with minimal staining. The vinyl retains its brilliant original factory luster.
Jacket Condition: Very Good Plus (VG+). Solid, thick cardboard sleeve, structurally sound with crisp edges, minor shelf wear at the corners, no seam splits, no cut-out holes. Original inner sleeve included.
Sturdy, heavyweight cardboard gatefold sleeve featuring extensive liner notes and vintage photos inside. Graphic print is bright with tight seams and no splitting.
