Description
This is the much sought after Canadian pressing of CSNY's 2nd album from 1970, 'Deja Vu'. It does come up once in awhile but rarely in this condition. In the U.S. the gatefold jackets were textured in a different sort of way; with tiny raised dots all over. In Canada, first issue jackets had an almost rough "sand paper"- like feel. I've tried to show this in a couple of the pictures I've uploaded. Another distinctive feature were the red/black Atlantic Records labels. These were only found upon the album's initial release in the winter/spring of 1970. The audio for these first Canadian pressings are superb...clear, balanced, with barely a trace of any imperfection.
Gatefold Jacket: Excellent-....very minor wear ....small, barely noticeable split in middle of gatefold.
Record: Excellent.....vinyl has decent weight and rigidity......both labels are just about perfect with one or two barely noticeable spindle traces. Under strong light one can see a few hairlines and superficial marks but none of them had any significant bearing on the wonderful audio. Not perfect...but close.
