Description
This is a near mint pressing of MFSL Deja Vu by Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. issued in 1983 by MFSL and pressed in Japan by JVC (Japan Victor Company) on virgin vinyl. (Vinyl is opaque with light passing through). This is an extremely rare pressing with near mint copies having a book value of $200.
As to grading, I grade very conservatively following Goldmine Record grading standard. Except that for records that are a notch below near mint, rather than VG ++, I prefer to use grade of Excellent. I do not use VG++ grade in addition to Excellent grade as is done by some.
The LP itself is in beautiful near mint condition with no visible marks. The LP plays beautifully quiet. Note that the LP was tested several weeks prior to listing and cleaned by hand and not machine. It should be cleaned again before play. The cover is in very good condition mostly due to a seam split of about 2 -3 inches on the top part of cover at mouth and one of about 1/2 inch at lower mouth. There is also a seam split at the bottom of the cover of about 1 inch. The spine is strong with no evident wear. The front and back of the cover are very clean.The original issued plastic inner record sleeve as well as the cardboard promotional insert holder are also included.
The LP is being sold without reserve and payment is expected within 3 days of auction close. Return of the LP will only be accepted if the same LP sold and shipped is returned in the same condition .Buyers that behave in a less than ethical manner will be reported and blocked from participation in future auctions. The LP will be separated from the cover when shipped to prevent seam splitting.
